Despite being the star of the show, Adams was quick to downplay his exploits, revealing that his teammates make it easier for him on the court.
“We have a great team so it’s a lot of guys to worry about with us and I was able to find my shots within the offense. It makes the job easier for me. I think every night could be somebody else’s night. We had a good week of practice and it just showed up,” Adams stated in a post match press conference.
Blackwater, meanwhile, played without their import Ricky Ledo after management expressed their dissatisfaction with his performances in the previous two games. Head coach Jeffrey Cariaso confirmed before the start of the game that the front office is in talks with Cameron Clark to replace Ledo as their import. It’s worth noting that Clark has prior PBA experience, having played for the NLEX Road Warriors in 2022 and san miguel beermen in 2023.
San Miguel has won both of their games in the ongoing Governor’s Cup and are currently on top of the standings in Group B. The Beermen and Adams will look to continue this good form when they face Barangay Ginebra San Miguel on Tuesday, August 27, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
