CCTV footage obtained by investigators captured Amores disembarking from a motorcycle driven by his brother in Barangay Maytalang. In the footage, Amores is seen pulling out a firearm and discharging it in the direction of the victim, who narrowly escaped the attack. Following the incident, the brothers quickly fled the scene. However, by 1 a.m. on Thursday morning, Amores and his brother had surrendered to the local authorities.

The police promptly detained the brothers, and inquest proceedings are currently underway to determine the appropriate charges.
